San Diego Rady Shell Concert Venue

After going to a few concerts at The Rady Shell at Jacobs Park in Downtown San Diego, I can honestly say that it is one of the most beautiful and unique music venues I have ever been to. The $85 million Shell is visually and sonically stunning, like a vortex of sound and color coming out of the San Diego Bay. Performances inside of the shell take visuals to a whole new level with lasers and graphics filling up the interior of the shell for a 3D effect. Besides its architectural beauty, The Rady Shell is perfectly positioned for some of the most beautiful sunsets in San Diego. Then, once the sun sets the city lights up and becomes the backdrop for some of the world’s best musical talent.

The new summer home of the San Diego Symphony offers an elevated selection of food and beverage options focusing on locally famous restaurants and catering services like Lola 55 Urban Kitchen Market. I have tried the chicken tacos from Lola 55 and the Korean chicken sandwich from Urban Kitchen Market and both were amazing.

The seating options at the Rady Shell offer a variety of views and price points from VIP to General Admission tickets for the lawn. I like coming early and getting food and drinks for a nice picnic on the lawn. So look at the San Diego Symphony schedule this summer and find your favorite artist or orchestra and enjoy!
